O. Lockport; was born in Watervliet, N. Y., May 15, 1836; he moved to this county with his parents in 1838, and worked upon the farm until the age of 22 in 1860, he crossed the plains to Pike's Peak, returning the same fall; in 1866, he went to Chicago and carried on the grocery business two years; he returned to this township; in 1869, he purchased from his father the homestead upon which he now resides, containing 160 acres. Has been School Director three terms, and is such at present. He married Rebecca BRECKENRIDGE, of Canada in New Lenox Township, Aug. 19, 1858; she was born in Canada. Dec. 7, 1839; they have six children - Clarence Eugene, born Nov. 9, 1859; George Erwin, March 8, 1862; Martin Schuyler, Jan. 29, 1866; John Jerome, Jan. 18, 1869; Howard Horace, Aug. 19, 1872, and Gertrude Rebecca, Oct. 14, 1875.
