Mrs. Sophia BROCKMAN, farmer; P. O. Monee; one of our early settlers; was born in 
Germany, A. D. 1828; come to the United States in 1851, and to this State, and settled 
in Greengarden, Will Co., in the same year. She is the widow of the late Henry BROCKMAN, 
deceased; they have had six children - Karl, Lena, Henry, Mena, Lizzie and Etta. The 
farm of Mrs. BROCKMAN contains 200 acres, valued at $10,000.
