BRONK, farming, Sec. 3; P. O. Joliet; the subject of this sketch was born in Albany Co., N. Y., July 18, 1836. He married Miss Harriet STORRS Oct. 8, 1858; she was born in Clinton Co., N. Y., Sept. 21, 1839; they had eight children, six living - Eugene J., Ephron, Edward C., Rossie, Prentice S. and Emmit. He lived in New York about eighteen months; he then moved to Illinois with his parents, who settled in Kendall Co., where he lived until 1865; he then moved to Manhattan Twp., Will Co., and engaged in farming, remaining there twelve years; in the spring of 1878, he came to his present place; he started in poor circumstances, and now owns 240 acres in this township, which he has earned by his own labor and management. His parents, Ephron BRONK and Mrs. Charlotte VAN_DOLFSTON - BRONK, were natives of New York; they settled in Kendall Co. in 1838, and died Sept. 22, 1865 and Sept. 22,1869, respectively.
