Mrs. B. CARPENTER, farmer and stock-raiser; P.O. Monee; one of our early settlers; was 
born in Maryland Jan. 6, 1815; came to Illinois and settled in Will Co. in 1854; she is 
the widow of the late Daniel F. CARPENTER, deceased; they were married Sept. 13, 1835;
they have had fifteen children, seven of whom are living, viz., Catharine J., John, 
Kezia C., Henry, Daniel B., Sarah N. and Jemima I.; decesed, Samuell, Daniel, William, 
Benjamin, Lydia B., Barbara V., Samuel and Kerenhapuch.  The farm of Mrs. CARPENTER 
consists of eighty acres, valued at $4,000.
