O. Lockport; was born in Lima, La Grange Co., Ind., Aug. 4, 1836; he moved to this county with his parents in 1855, and lived with them until the age of 21; in 1874, he purchased the farm upon which he now resides, now containing seventy acres. He has been School Director three years. He Married Miss Helen C. REED (daughter of George REED) in Homer Twp., Jan. 31, 1867; she was born in Bristol, Ontario Co., N. Y. Sept. 24, 1845; they have two children - Elmer R., born Feb. 20, 1867 and Myrtie J., born June 10, 1877. Mr. CORWIN served three years as Sergeant of Co. G, 39th IL. lnf., and was wounded at Bermuda Hundred in 1864, and served the balance of his enlistment in Marine Hospital in Chicago.
