O. Elwood; the subject of this sketch was born in Germany Feb. 25, 1851. He married Miss Sarah GOCKLEY Nov. 16, 1871; she was born in Lancaster Co, Penn. Sept. 25, 1854; they have three children, viz.; Clara, born Dec. 10, 1872; Frank, born March 30, 1875; Ellen, born June 5, 1877. He lived in Germany until he was 15 years old; he then came to the United States and settled in Will Co. with his parents. His father, William, came to this county in 1855, and worked on the farm until 1873, when be bought his present place; he lost his wife in Germany, and he died here in 1875; they had but the one child.
