John DRAUDEN, farming; P. O. Plainfield. The above gentleman was born in Prussia 
in March, 1831; he married Miss Elizabeth ROUSH Oct. 3, 1868; she was born in Prussia 
Sept. 28, 1834; they had seven children, six living, viz., Maggie, Mary, John, Michael, 
Edward and Matilda. He lived in German twenty-three years, when he came to the United 
State and settled in New York; engaged in farming, and remained four years; he then 
came to Will Co., IL, and settled in Plainfield Twp.; in 1867, he came to his present 
place. He has held no office except connected with school and road; he came to this 
county without any capital, and now owns 240 acres which he has earned by his own labor.
