Plainfield; this gentleman was born in Sullivan County, N. Y., Sept. 24, 1832, and is the son of Robert and Elizabeth (BROWN) FRASER, natives of Ireland, having emigrated to America when they were young; Mr. FRASER was brought up on his father's farm, and has been engaged in farming ever since; in 1847, he started West with his father and mother, but on the way his mother took sick on the lake and died in Chicago; came to Will Co. and first settled near Plainfield, then near Lockport, thence to Wheatland Twp. here he has remained ever since; owns to-day 160 acres of fine, improved land.
