John FRIEDRIECHS, farmer; P. O. Monee; one of our early settlers in Greengarden; was 
born in Germany; came to the United States in 1849, and to Illinois in the same year; 
his farm consists of 160 acres, valued at $7,000. He was married to Miss Christina 
JACOBS, who was born in Germany; they have three children living, viz., John, George 
and Henry, and two deceased, viz., Louisa and Minnie.
