Frank J. GOODENOW, station agent and Postmaster, Goodenow; the subject of this sketch was born in Crete Twp., Will Co., IL, June 15, 1848, and is the son of George W. GOODENOW, of New York, who is one of the old settlers of Illinois, having made his home here in 1838. Mr. Frank J. was appointed Postmaster and Station Agent in 1870; these offices he still fills; is in partnership with his father in the grocery business; they also are engaged very largely in the hay-press business; have handled as high as 1,000 tons of hay in one year. Married in 1875 Miss Alice HUNT, of Sheronville, Hamilton Co., Ohio, by whom he has one child.
