Charles HALEY, blacksmith, Hadley; was born in Waldec, Prussia, Germany, Jan. 21, 1836; he was engaged in learning the trade of blacksmith from the age of 15 up to 18, when he came to Canada with his mother in 1854, living there up to 1874, carrying on the trade of blacksmith, and from there he came to Hadley Postoffice, in this township, carrying on a blacksmith shop, and is now also Postmaster. He married Miss Aldura LAWSON, of Prince Edward Co., Upper Canada, May 5, 1863; she was born April 13, 1842; they have four children - Manly B., born June 20, 1864; John C., born April 7, 1867; Adolph, born Dec. 13, 1870, and Carrie, born Oct. 10, 1872.
