William KREIMEIER, farming, Sec. 27; P. O. Elwood; the subject of this sketch was born in Prussia March 5, 1829. He married Miss Mary POHLMAN March 26, 1854; she was born in Prussia March 6, 1835; they had ten children, nine living - Ella M., Eliza A., Amanda A., Susan M., William F., John E., Mina S., Ida F. and Oliver F. He lived in Germany about twenty years; then came to the United States and settled at Little York, Penn.; remained there seven years, when he came to Illinois and settled in Will Co; this was in 1856; in 1869, he came to his present place, and has lived here since. His only offices have been connected with the school and road. He came here in poor circumstances, and now owns 254 acres, which he has earned by his own labor.
