Lewis LENNBHE, farmer and stock-raiser; P. O. Monee; one of our early settlers; was born in 
Germany Nov. 27, 1827; came to the United States in 1850, and to this State in the same year; 
he has been a resident of Will Co. for the past twenty years; his farm consists of 170 acres 
valued at $9,000. He was married to Miss Auguatina HOLZ, who was born in Germany; they have 
had five children - Charles L., Theodore, Frederick, William and Caroline. Since his residence 
in the township, he has held the office of road boss two years.
