Thomas S. MCINTOSH, dealer in paints, oils, varnish, glass, brushes, wall paper, etc., Wilmington, IL; born in Wilmington, Will Co., IL, Aug. 25, 1841; his father, Daniel MCINTOSH, who was a native of Scotland, was among the first settlers of Wilmington, locating here in the winter of 1836 and 1837. Thomas S. followed farming till 1864, and then engaged in his present business, which he has followed since. Married in 1866 to Miss Emma E., daughter of Charles COTTEL; she was born in Washington Co., Me.; four children by this union, three living - Alice, Nellie and Emma. Laura died Aug. 8, 1878. Mr. MCINTOSH enlisted in the 138th I. V. I. in 1864, and served until the close of the war. Member of Will Lodge, No. 301, I. O. O. F.
