W. B. OWEN, farmer and stock-raiser; P. O. Frankfort Station; one of our first settlers and pioneers; was born in Clark Co., Ky., Jan. 24, 1826; came to this State, and settled in Frankfort, Will Co., in 1834, at which time, there was not to exceed twelve families located in this township. He is the son of the late Francis OWEN, deceased, who preached the first sermon, and was the first local minister in the township. Mr. O. was married Jan. 22, 1861, to Miss. C. A. CLEVELAND, who was born in Delaware Co., N. Y., Nov. 15, 1841; they have had seven children, viz., Mary Antoinette, Cora L., Francis Belle, Gracie E., James W., William C. and Edward F. The farm of Mr. O. is located on Secs. 30 and 18; it contains 110 acres and is valued at $6,500.
