Frederick PAULING, farmer and stock-raiser; P. O. Monee; one of the early settlers; was born in 
Germany; came to the United States in 1850, and to this State and settled in Will Co. in 1852; 
he is the father of Henry D. PAULING, of Monee Twp., whose farm consists of 133 acres, valued 
at $5,000. He was married to Miss Mary KOLSTEDT, who was born in Cook Co., IL; they have two 
children, viz., William and Amelia.
