They immigrated in 1850 from Gilten, Hannover, Germany. I have direct line information from the Gilten Evangelical Church going back to 1545. This family had 3 sons and 3 daughters. Just Heinrich Friedrich PAULING was married to Marie Christine Bruns. He died in Monee, Will County in 1893 and is buried in St. Paul's Cemetery, Monee. I find him in the 1860 census for Monee. His oldest son was baptized in Zion Lutheran, Duncklee's Grove, Addison, IL.

Jurgen Heinrich Friedrich PAULING was married to Katharina Sophia Dorothea RODENWALD in 1850 in Zion Lutheran, Duncklee's Grove, Addison, IL. Heinrich is also on the 1860 census in Monee, Will County. In the listing of Original Landowners of Monee Township, he is given as the purchaser of the southeast quarter of Section 20 date 1845/1849. Both brothers had large families.
