Samuel RAUWORTH, proprietor of the City Meat Market, Wilmington; born in Sheffield, England, May 12, 1842; came to this country in October, 1860, locating in Wilton Twp., this county, where he engaged in farming, working in the packinghouses in the city of Chicago during the winters; in 1870, he returned to England, remaining there about six months; on his return, he took up his residence at former location, where he resided until 1877; then locating in this city and engaging in his present business; owns 120 .acres of land in Iowa, valued at $3,240. Married in 1864 to Miss Hannah, daughter of Charles ROBINSON; she was born in Edwinstowe, England; had seven children by this union, five living - Lotty, Harry, Ellen, Gracie D. and Eddie S.; Joseph B. died Feb. 26, 1866, and Florence P. Feb. 28, 1869. Mr. R. is a member of Will Lodge, No. 301, I. O. O. F.
