Adam ROHRBACH, farming, Sec. 10; P. O. Joliet; the subject of this sketch was born in Hesse, in Germany, March 3, 1835. He married Mrs. HAZEMANN, formerly Miss Catheron P. BERNARD, March 12, 1860; she was born in Alsace, France, Jan. 28, 1828; they had four children, three living, viz., Henry J., Frederick A. and Louisa J.; his wife had three children, by former marriage, one living, viz., Eliza Ann. He lived in Germany nineteen years; he then came to the United States and settled near Peoria, IL; and after three years residence there, he became converted, and joined the Evangelical Association, and became a preacher in same, traveling to most all parts of the State; in 1875, he settled in Will Co., and in 1877, he settled on his present place. He came to the United States in very poor circumstances, and now owns 160 acres well improved in this township.
