Frank SEARLES, farmer and stock-raiser; P. O. Hadley; was born in Westchester Co., N. Y., July 24, 1828; came to this State in 1850, and settled in Homer, where he remained four years; he removed from there to New Lenox in 1854, where he has since resided; his farm consists of 104 acres, valued at $8,000. He was married to Miss Emily WHITE April 1, 1851; she was born in Lake Co., Ohio, June 6, 1827; they have had two children - Frank W. and Agnes E. Mr. S. has held township offices of different kinds in New Lenox for several years. His son Frank W. passed examination and received diploma at Chicago Medical College as physician and surgeon; he is at present the only physician in New Lenox.
