Author: History of Will County IL, 1878

James SUTHERLAND, manufacturer of carriages, wagons and farming implements, 
Frankfort Station; was born in Scotland Sept. 16, 1842; came to the United 
States in 1864, and settled in Frankfort in 1869. His business, since his 
residence in the township, has been that of a manufacturer and dealer in 
carriages and farm implements. He was married to Miss Mary DUNNETT, who was 
born in Scotland; they have seven children, viz., Mary, Maggie, Matilda, 
Kenneth, Edith, Evan and Harold.
