Morris WEISS, druggist; P. O. Mokena; was born in Germany Jan. 10, 1830; came to the 
United States in 1854, and settled in Mokena, Will Co., IL; he is, the first 
proprietor, and builder of the first drug store in the village. He was married to 
Miss Julia SCHIEK, who was born in Germany Oct. 18, 1834. Mr. W., since his residence 
in the township, has held the office of Township Clerk nine years in succession, 
Justice of the Peace six years and is at present Township Treasurer.
