James WHITE, farming and dairy; P. O., Wilmington; owns 133 acres of land, valued at 
$40 per acre; born Oct. 26, 1842, Lycoming Co., Penn.; came to Wilmington, Will Co., 
with his parents when about 2 years old. Married Sarah HAZARD Dec. 26, 1865, in this 
county; she was born Dec. 15, 1844, in Madison Co., N.  Y., and came to this county 
with her parents in 1853; have four children - Clarence E., Fannie E., Florence A., 
Charles A. His father, Adam WHITE, and mother Margaret WATSON (WHITE), were natives 
of Scotland, and emigrated to the United States in 1833; they had twelve children, 
five living - John M. (mentioned elsewhere), Mary, Adam, Robert and James.
