Mt. Olivet Church cemetery is located West of IL Rte. 102, on the south side of Oak Street (Oakwood Cemetery is adjacent to the north of the older section of Mount Olive.)
The church was established in 1853 but some of the burials (in section A) may have occurred earlier from a mission church that may have operated as early as 1838. Cemetery is owned and administered by the Catholic Diocese of Joliet, the cemetery records are maintained by the Saint Rose of Lima church. This is not a complete listing of burials. Please contact Anne Nelson to see if she has photos of the headstones.
