  1. Hello:
I am looking for my grandmuter and gandvather birth and death certificates. Their names were Mary Drumbush and Frank Randolph. They were born around 1900. They should be registered in Will county.

    • Hi Jane,

Try the following free databases online:

      Illinois Births and Christenings, 1824-1940
Name index to birth, baptism and christening records from the state of Illinois. Microfilm copies of these records are available at the Family History Library and Family History Centers. Due to privacy laws, recent records may not be displayed. The year range represents most of the records. A few records may be earlier or later.

      Illinois Statewide Death Index, Pre–1916
The pre–1916 Illinois death index is an ongoing project coordinated by the Illinois State Archives. The sources for this index include original county clerks’ death records, such as death registers and licenses. For each death, the index includes the name of the decedent, the date of the death, the name of the county where the death occurred, the place of death within the county, when possible; the age and sex of the decedent and a citation to the original record—volume and page number for death registers or certificate number for death certificates.

  2. If you are looking for Will County IL marriage documents from 1901 and before, you can find the originals on microfilm at the Coal City IL public library. I have used it many times myself. It’s on the 2nd floor.

  3. Hello,
I am looking for marriage documentation between my Great Uncle Albert James Rogan and a Mary Rogan (her real name may have been Italian). She was born in or around 1902 and he was born in or around June 1889. They may have been married between 1920 and 1925. I appreciate any assistance you can be.
    Thank you,
