I would like to know WHEN and HOW State st. in Lockport was raised about 20-30 feet. How was this done when there is NO VISABLE means of support. Where do I find info about this. Are there pictures around this time. About 1838-1845? I saw this about 35 yrs. ago and didnt have a light source, but I could see the sidewalk and the merchant buildings across the street. I wrote my name on the sidewalk. Since then the building was torn down, but it was near the corner by Archies Pizza (then) 10th st. . I want to prove I am not crazy to my family.
